Saturday, the 22nd was our final day in Hong Kong! With our flight not leaving until 10:50 pm, we had most of the day to do some last-minute sightseeing and shopping, preferably the latter – since we are of the female nature (: After getting ALL of our things packed up into our suitcases and ready for the airport, going through customs in Hong Kong and in Germany (as we flew across Europe to come home), we put our luggage in storage and off-we-went for breakfast at our favorite Starbuck’s in Hong Kong and then some sightseeing and shopping. We returned to the hotel around 6:00 for transport to the airport, which took about 2 hours, and then we went through many different stations before boarding our first flight (of TWO) for HOME…a 12 hour-flight to Munich, Germany; then a 10 hour-flight to Charlotte, N.C.
We have completed our WORLD-WIDE JOURNEY and are now SO VERY HAPPY to be home and recovering for a couple of days before we go back to Teacher-Work Week. I have one more post that I will be sending to each of you, with final thoughts from my JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME …for now…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
